EBRD improves forecast on Uzbekistan’s economic growth in 2015
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) --
The European bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) improved its forecast on economic growth of Uzbekistan by 0.5 percentage points to 7.5%, the November report “Regional Economic Prospects in EBRD Countries of Operations” said.
It is worth to mention that the bank forecasted in May 2015 that economy of Uzbekistan in 2015 will grow by 7%.
At the same time the specialists of the EBRD kept the forecast on the growth of the GDP of Uzbekistan at the level of 7.2%.
According to the bank’s forecast, the inflation will make up 8.8% in 2015 in Uzbekistan compared to 8.4% in 2014.
In the report, the EBRD said that the situation in Russian will impact to economy of Uzbekistan as the volume of remittances from Russia to Uzbekistan will decrease. The bank added that the volume of trade of Uzbekistan with its main trade partners such as Russia, China and Kazakhstan will fell as well.
