Earthquake of Magnitude 3.9 Recorded in Kanimekh District of Navoiy Region
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 17 September, an earthquake was recorded in Uzbekistan with its epicenter in the Kanimekh District of Navoiy Region, according to the Seismological Monitoring Center under the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
The tremors reached a strength of 4 on the local intensity scale at the epicenter, with a magnitude of 3.9. The epicenter is located 363 kilometers southwest of Tashkent.
Within the country, the tremors were felt in neighboring districts: in Gijduvan, with an intensity of 3 at a distance of 23 kilometers, and in Kanimekh and Navbahor, with an intensity of 2 at 57 kilometers.
