Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- An earthquake occurred in Uzbekistan at 20:46 on 18 August. This was announced today by the Republican Center for Seismic Forecast Monitoring of the Ministry of Emergencies.
The magnitude at the epicenter was 4.2. The distance of the epicenter from Tashkent was 314 km in a south-westerly direction.
The strength of tremors in Jizzakh (144 km) was 2 points, Samarkand (79 km) - 2 points and Karshi (114 km) - 2 points.
In other regions of Uzbekistan, seismic activity was not felt. No information was received on the damage and casualties.
