Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 26 December 2025, at 21:17:32 local time, an earthquake was recorded in the territory of the Kyrgyz Republic, the Republican Center for Seismological Forecasting and Monitoring reported.

The epicenter of the tremors was located near the city of Batken, Kyrgyz Republic, at a depth of 10 km. The earthquake had a magnitude of 3.2. The coordinates of the epicenter were 39.92°N latitude and 71.98°E longitude.

In the territory of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the tremors were felt in Ferghana district with an intensity of up to 2 points. The distance from the epicenter to the city of Tashkent is 277 km to the southeast.

No reports of casualties or damage have been received. The situation remains under the control of the relevant authorities.
