Earthquake in Kyrgyzstan Felt in Uzbekistan’s Sokh District
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 19 March 2026, at 17:03:17 Tashkent time, an earthquake with a magnitude of 3.9 occurred near the city of Batken in the Kyrgyz Republic. The epicenter was located at a depth of 10 kilometers at coordinates 39.59 N, 71.39 E.
In Uzbekistan, tremors were felt in the Sokh district, registering at intensity level 2. The distance from the epicenter to Tashkent is 262 kilometers to the southeast.
No information has been received regarding damage or casualties in Uzbekistan.
