Earthquake in Kyrgyzstan Felt in Uzbekistan’s Ferghana Valley
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Today, on 26 August 2025, at 15:31 Tashkent time, an earthquake occurred in the territory of the Kyrgyz Republic. The epicenter of the tremors was near the city of Batken.
According to seismologists, the earthquake had a magnitude of 4.1, with a focal depth of 10 kilometers.
In Uzbekistan, the tremors were felt in several settlements of the Ferghana region. Ground shaking reached a level of 2 on the intensity scale in the city of Kuvasay, in Ferghana District, and in the city of Ferghana itself.
The distance from the epicenter to Tashkent is approximately 287 kilometers to the southeast.
