Earthquake in Kyrgyzstan Felt in Uzbekistan
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — In the early hours of 25 July, seismic tremors were felt across parts of Uzbekistan.
According to the Seismic Forecasting Monitoring Center under the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the earthquake occurred at 02:40 local time, with the epicenter located in the Jalal-Abad region of Kyrgyzstan.
Preliminary data indicates that the earthquake had a magnitude of 3.6 and a focal depth of 15 kilometers. The tremors at the epicenter reached a strength of 3 points on the local scale.
The epicenter was located approximately 284 kilometers southeast of Tashkent.
The tremors were felt with varying intensity across different areas in Uzbekistan:
Pakhtaabad district: 2–3 points (22 km from epicenter)
Izboskan district: 2 points (37 km)
Andijan district: 2 points (38 km)
Jalakuduk district: 2 points (42 km)
No casualties or damage have been reported.
