E-Gate System Launched in Arrival Area of Tashkent International Airport

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — An automated passport control system, E-Gate, has been put into operation in the arrival hall of Tashkent International Airport.

The new zone is equipped with eight electronic lanes designed for citizens of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

To pass through the control, passengers simply place their biometric passport on the reader and undergo facial recognition. Once their identity is confirmed, the turnstile automatically opens.

The entire process takes approximately 15–20 seconds.

The E-Gate system was first introduced at Tashkent Airport in 2023 in the departure area of the international terminal.

With the addition of this new section, the total number of automated lanes at the airport has reached 20.

The implementation of the E-Gate technology significantly speeds up the passport control process, increases checkpoint capacity, and provides additional convenience for passengers.
