Dubai Police Bust Drug Trafficking Ring Operating from Residential Villa

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Dubai Police have dismantled a criminal group involved in drug trafficking operating out of a residential villa as part of Operation “Villa.” Two Asian nationals were arrested during the raid, and a large quantity of illegal substances was seized, according to media reports.

The suspects were identified following intelligence received from local security services. Investigators organized a controlled operation during which one member of the group was apprehended. During questioning, he revealed the identity of an accomplice, who was later detained while packaging drugs in a subsequent raid.

Authorities seized around 40 kilograms of illegal substances, including ketamine, crystal methamphetamine, marijuana, hashish, and various chemical components and liquids used in drug production.

Brigadier Khalid bin Muwaizah, Director of the General Department of Anti-Narcotics, emphasized that the successful operation reflects Dubai Police’s firm commitment to combating drug trafficking. He noted that the force actively uses advanced technologies and digital systems to detect and dismantle criminal networks, including those operating remotely.
