Drug Laboratory Discovered in Andijan
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — During a joint operation by the State Security Service and law enforcement authorities in Andijan, a local resident born in 1987 was detained for organizing a drug laboratory in his own apartment.
During the search, authorities seized physical evidence, including marijuana, a synthetic crystalline drug, the potent substance “Tropicamide,” raw materials for making narcotic mixtures, specialized containers and zip-lock bags for packaging, four mobile phones, and one laptop.
The laptop contained three “Telegram bots” used for selling synthetic drugs and tracking buyers’ locations, as well as instructional videos and slides on setting up a home drug laboratory.
A criminal case has been initiated under Article 273, Part 2 of the Criminal Code. The suspect has been placed in custody, and the seized items have been sent for examination. Investigative measures are ongoing to verify any potential criminal connections of the detainee.
