Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 5 July 2022 at about 00:05 am on Shota Rustaveli Street in Yakkasaray district of Z.Yu., born in 1979, on the basis of a power of attorney, driving a Hyundai Santa Fe car (license number 01 M 014070), hit a pedestrian crossing the road in the wrong place. Flying off as a result of the impact, the pedestrian ended up under the wheels of a Toyota car moving nearby, driven by M.Kh. on the basis of a power of attorney.

As a result of an accident, a pedestrian - V.S., born in 1980, died at the scene from his injuries. 

On this fact, the Investigation Department of the Central Internal Affairs Directorate of Tashkent initiated a criminal case in accordance with part 2 of article 266 (“Violation of traffic safety rules or the operation of vehicles that resulted in the death of a person”) of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan. An investigation is underway.
