Draft Law “On the use of atomic energy for peaceful purposes” discussed

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) – Today, the draft Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On the use of atomic energy for peaceful purposes” was discussed by deputies in the second reading at the next meeting of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

Prior to this, the bill was passed in the first reading during the discussion in the lower house of Parliament of Uzbekistan on 5 March.

In the second reading, in the course of the article-by-article consideration of the draft document by the deputies, recommendations were given to strengthen some norms, further clarify the rights and obligations, powers of the government bodies.

In order to introduce direct action norms into the draft law, a separate working group was formed and soon the draft law worked out would be reintroduced for discussion on second reading.
