Doctors imrpove their skills remotely

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - In Kashkadarya region, on the initiative of the National Chamber of Innovative Health, with the support of Russian specialists, a nephrology training course is being conducted. Given the realities of today, doctors are trained remotely.

Until 28 March, 15 specialists, including nephrologists, hemodialysis specialists, resuscitators from Kashkadarya and the neighboring Surkhandarya regions, receive modern knowledge based on the development and experience of the faculty of Stavropol State Medical University of the Russian Federation.

After the completion of the 144-hour training program, which began on 2 March, an examination and a certificate are provided. At present Uzbekistan introduces a credit-modular system for assessing the improvement of medical qualifications. And participation in the educational course based on international experience gives not only modern knowledge, but also the possibility of scoring, which will play a significant role in the upcoming licensing of doctors, the introduction of which is envisaged by decree of the President of Uzbekistan No. UP-5590 of December 7, 2018.

The collaboration of health professionals in Kashkadarya region and Stavropol Medical University began on the initiative of the National Chamber of Innovative Health from September last year. Then the delegation of Uzbekistan, consisting of the director of the Kashkadarya regional territorial unit of the National Chamber Shoira Nabieva and the chief doctor of the regional Multidisciplinary Medical Center Tulkin Rasulov, visited Stavropol in order to establish cooperation with Russian colleagues. As a result, a Memorandum of Cooperation was concluded for a period of 5 years with the Institute of Continuing Professional Education of Stavropol State Medical University.

The first sign of the joint activity was a monthly internship in Stavropol, in which six doctors from Kashkadarya took part in November. And now, without deviating from the planned program of mutual cooperation, Russian specialists are training their Uzbek colleagues in the Nephrology course. In view of the new realities, they conduct them remotely, although the arrival of Stavropol doctors was initially planned at the final stage of training from 23 to 28 March. However, the amendments made prove that it is possible to achieve the intended goal in different ways, the main thing is not to retreat.

Online training is organized on the territory of the Kashkadarya territorial division of the National Chamber in the city of Karshi and, as the division director Shoira Nabiyeva notes, the new conditions only added responsibility to the project participants on both sides for the productivity of the ongoing training.
