Dobersek to build copper smelting furnace at AGMK in 2015

Germany’s Dobersek Engineering signed a contract with Almalyk Mining and Metallurgy Combine to construction of furnace at copper smelting plant with the cost of US$98 million, RIA Novosti reported quoting representative of the company.
According to the contract, signed in the result of tender, which was announced in late 2013, the German company will construct new automated copper smelting furnace with loading tuyere with the capacity of 17,000 tonnes of copper a year. The project will be implemented by October 2015.
The project will be financed due to loan of the Fund for Reconstruction and Development of Uzbekistan, own funds of AGMK and loans of commercial banks.
