Do you want to contribute to nature conservation? Then participate

To participate in the contest, either submit an infographic on the theme ‘What the oil and gas industry can do for biodiversity conservation?’, or enter your own caption/comments for the above photo (A Steppe Agama on a hill created as a result of the works carried out on the Ustyurt Plateau).

The contest winner will be featured in the next newsletter of the UNDP-GEF project ‘Mainstreaming Biodiversity into Uzbekistan`s Oil-and-Gas Sector Policies and Operations’, and will be rewarded with a certificate and a complementary gift. The contest organizer is the UNDP-GEF ‘Mainstreaming biodiversity into Uzbekistan’s oil-and-gas sector policies and operations’ project, with support from the State Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan for Nature Protection, ‘Uzbekneftegaz’ National Holding Company, oil and gas companies.

The submitted infographics and comments will be evaluated by a jury consisting of representatives of organisers and partners.

The submission period is from the 1st of May to the 1st of June, 2013.

The last day for submission is the 1st of June, 2013.

On the 5th of June 5, 2013, the winners of each category will be announced.

Guidelines:

• An infographic in Uzbek, English and Russian, submitted in printed and electronic versions with the name and surname of the author/group of authors, the name of the relevant institution, and contact information;

• A comment or caption for the above photograph in Uzbek, English or Russian, emailed to sevara.sharapova@undp.org. Evaluation criteria:

• Content;

• Creativity;

• Style and organisation.
