Director of Center for Islamic Culture appointed

According to Jahon news agency, Shoazim Minovarov was appointed to the post of the director of the Center for Islamic Culture under the Cabinet of Ministers of Uzbekistan.

Prior to this appointment, Minovarov was the chairman of the French Alliance in Tashkent.

The Center for Islamic Culture under the Cabinet of Ministers of Uzbekistan was established by the presidential decree from 23 June 2017.

The Center will implement measures to promote Uzbekistan as one of the important centers of the Islamic world. The center will study the works of the great ancestors of the Uzbek people and promote them in the world. The Center will also prepare books, television programs and other materials about Islam in Uzbekistan, works of great ancestors, etc.
