Direct Flights from Samarkand to Moscow, Astana, and İzmir to Launch This Autumn

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Samarkand International Airport has transitioned to its autumn–winter flight schedule, following a successful summer season.

During the spring–summer period, the airport served over 900,000 passengers, marking a 6.8% increase compared to the same period last year.

The airport’s route network continued to expand: Ural Airlines launched direct flights from Samarkand to Krasnoyarsk, while Azimuth Airlines opened routes to Samara and Krasnodar.

New and returning airline partners also resumed services to countries across the CIS and beyond. Among them were AZAL Airlines with flights to Baku, QAZAQ AIR (VIETJET QAZAQSTAN), which began regular flights to Astana with a connection in Turkestan, and China Southern Airlines, which resumed flights to Ürümqi.

Uzbek carrier Centrum Air operated flights on eight routes, including new international destinations such as Dushanbe, Vladivostok, and Khabarovsk, as well as domestic routes to Urgench.

In the upcoming autumn–winter season, partner airlines will continue to increase flight frequencies on popular routes:

Azimuth Airlines will fly to Ufa three times a week;

SunExpress will operate three weekly flights to İzmir;

Ural Airlines will offer daily flights to Moscow (Domodedovo Airport) and three weekly flights to Yekaterinburg.

Additionally, QAZAQ AIR (VIETJET QAZAQSTAN) is set to launch direct flights to Astana, and Utair will resume its flight program to St. Petersburg later this season.
