Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Deputy Prosecutor General of Uzbekistan Erkin Yuldashev took part in the International Forum on the theme: “Uzbekistan and the UN: cooperation on the path to achieving the SDGs”, held in the form of video conferencing.

In honor of the 75th anniversary of the signing of the UN Charter, Uzbekistan organized the International Cycle of Global Discussions on the topic: “The 75th anniversary of the UN: a look into the future” in the format of the videoconferencing system.

The event was organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, NCHR, Parliament and the Permanent Mission of UNODC in Uzbekistan.

On 26 June, the first discussions took place in the form of an international forum on the theme: “Uzbekistan and the UN: cooperation on the path to achieving the SDGs”, which was attended by Deputy Prosecutor General of Uzbekistan Erkin Yuldashev.

The international forum was opened by the announcement of the Message of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the UN.

In addition, during the forum, discussions were organized regarding global trends in ensuring progress in the implementation of Uzbekistan's commitments made to implement the SDGs, in particular education, health, social development, gender equality, the rule of law and others.

Representatives of the UN and international organizations, noting the importance of the ongoing reforms in all spheres of Uzbekistan’s life, highly appreciated the measures taken in the country and thanked for organizing the International Forum and the Global Discussion Cycle in general
