Deputy Mayor of Tashkent Discusses Prospects for Bilateral Partnership with Seoul Delegation
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A meeting was held at the Tashkent city administration between Deputy Mayor Durdona Rakhimova and a delegation from the Republic of Korea, led by Kim Tae Gyun, First Administrative Deputy Mayor of Seoul.
During the conversation, Durdona Rakhimova emphasized the dynamic development of the strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and the Republic of Korea, as well as the friendly relations between Tashkent and Seoul. She provided detailed information on ongoing investment projects in the capital involving South Korean partners and expressed interest in further expanding bilateral cooperation.
Kim Tae Gyun, in turn, praised Tashkent’s achievements and its growing investment appeal, noting the city’s significant progress in recent years.
At the end of the meeting, Kim Tae Gyun officially invited Tashkent Mayor Shavkat Umurzakov to participate in the Metropolis Cities Network Congress, dedicated to the organization’s 40th anniversary. The forum will be held on 29 September 2025 in Seoul.
