Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) – Deputy khokim of Tashkent Sharof Rakhmanov met with a delegation of Omsk region of Russia.

Deputy Minister of Economy of Omsk Region Denis Kushner thanked the representatives of the khokimiyat for a warm welcome and offered to consider areas of mutually beneficial cooperation, noting that partnerships in the textile and agricultural spheres are currently well developed between Uzbekistan and Omsk Region, and I would like to expand the range of economic relations in other areas, such as energy, construction, digitalization, urban planning, etc.

Sharof Rakhmanov supported the proposal of the Russian side and noted that the Tashkent khokimiyat supports the idea of mutually beneficial cooperation and is ready to provide all necessary assistance. Also, the director of the Department of Tourism Development of Tashkent Sanjar Tajiev, who participated in the meeting, gave information about the tourism potential of the capital.

In response to this, the Director General of Omsk Region Development and Investment Agency JSC Evgeny Kovtun said that the Omsk side is already studying this issue and is ready to work out an optimal tourist route, and also suggested considering the organization of medical tourism, noting that medical services are in Omsk areas have an ideal price-quality ratio.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the parties agreed to comprehensively work out all aspects of cooperation.
