Deputy Heads of the National Committee for Urbanization and Housing Market Appointed in Uzbekistan
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev has signed decrees appointing the deputy chairpersons of the National Committee for Sustainable Urbanization and the Housing Market.
According to the documents, Orifjon Fayziev has been appointed First Deputy Chairperson of the National Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan for Sustainable Urbanization and the Housing Market. Prior to this appointment, he served as Deputy Director of the National Agency for Promising Projects.
Nozimbek Rustambekov has been appointed Deputy Chairperson of the Committee. Before this role, he worked in the Ministry of Justice as Head of the Department for Law Enforcement.
It is worth recalling that on 20 November 2025, President Mirziyoyev signed a decree establishing the organizational framework for the National Committee for Sustainable Urbanization and the Housing Market.
The main objective of the document is to enhance the efficiency of state governance in urban development and housing construction, ensure systematic operations of the Committee, and strengthen coordination with government agencies and international partners.
Earlier, by presidential decree, Sherzod Kudbiev was appointed Chairperson of the National Committee for Sustainable Urbanization and the Housing Market, and was subsequently relieved of his duties as Chairperson of the State Tax Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
