Deputy head of Rossotrudnichestvo pays visit to Tashkent
Larisa Efremova overseas issues of education and support of the Russian language, scientific cooperation, youth and communication programmes at the Federal Agency (Rossotrudnichestvo).
She visited the third international exhibition “Education and Job-2014”, which was organized at the support of Rossotrudnichestvo office in Uzbekistan. Speaking at the event, Larisa Efremova underlined that education unites people. She expressed hope that future students will select those professions, which will be demanded worldwide.
Head of Rossotrudnichestvo office in Uzbekistan Valeriy Kayer underlined importance and necessity to hold educational exhibitions and said that 11 leading Russian universities attended the exhibition “Education and Job-2014”.
Within the exhibition, the conference “Education and science in Russia” was held. The conference considered new models of selection and testing of candidates from Uzbekistan to study in Russian universities, enrollment of foreign citizens in Russia, education in Russian language in Uzbekistan, etc.
On the second half of 28 March, Larisa Efremova met with the Minister of Higher and Secondary Special Education of Uzbekistan Bakhodir Hodiev. At the talks, the sides considered changes to regulation on selection of foreign citizens to education in Russia due to funds of the Russian Federal Budget, participation of the Uzbek ministry in process of testing and sending Uzbek citizens to Russia.
The sides agreed on signing an agreement between Rossotrudnichestvo and the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Special Education of Uzbekistan.
Russian official also visited Tashkent Eparchy on invitation of the Metropolitan of Tashkent and Uzbekistan Vikentiy. She attended the meeting of the religious officials from Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and others. The sides considered celebrations of historic and memorable days of Russia, strengthen spiritual values and development of culture of Russians in Central Asia.
Larisa Efremova visited Russian Center for science and culture in Tashkent. She familiarized with the work of the center and shared her recommendations on further improving work of libraries and educational process.
