Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - At the plenary meeting of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis, deputies considered the candidacy for the post of Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan on the development of agricultural and food sectors. The candidacy of Barnoev Uktam Isoevich was presented for this position.

During the discussions, the deputies asked the candidate for membership in the Government about the program of his actions.

Uktam Barnoev, answering questions, noted that he would make efforts to further strengthen relations between the Government and parliament.

As a result of the discussions, in accordance with Article 22¹ of the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On the Rules of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan”, the Resolution of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan on the approval of the candidacy of Barnoev Uktam Isoyevich for the post of Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan for the Development of Agricultural and Food spheres was approved.

The post of Deputy Prime Minister for Development of the Agricultural and Food Spheres was introduced by a presidential decree of February 24.

The decree on the appointment of the Deputy Prime Minister after the approval of his candidacy should be signed by the President of Uzbekistan.
