Denmark delegation to the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly visits Uzbekistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 26 September, the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan held a meeting with members of Denmark delegation to the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly.

At the meeting, the parties noted that today a certain state or an international organization cannot alone resist such global threats as terrorism, extremism, trafficking in human beings, illicit traffic in narcotic drugs. Only joint struggle and pooling of efforts against such transnational crimes give expected results.

Members of the delegation showed interest in position of Uzbekistan on current issues of regional and international importance. Prospects of implementing joint projects through the OSCE were considered.

Views were exchanged on implementation of the agreements reached between Uzbekistan and the OSCE, including with the Parliamentary Assembly, and the main areas of bilateral cooperation for the near future were outlined.
