Representatives of Uzbekistan could not qualify to the second round of Australian Open. Uzbekistan’s Denis Istomin and Akgul Amanmuradova lost their matches in singles.
Uzbekistan number one Denis Istomim faced Yann Hernych from the Czech Republic. The match ended in four sets - 3/6, 4/6, 6/3 and 2/6.
Akgul Amanmuradova, in her turn, lost to Kristina Barrois of Germany. The match ended with the score 6/4 and 6/2.
