Denis Istomin advances to second round of Roland Garros

Uzbekistan number one Denis Istomin advanced to the second round of the French Open, the second Grand Slam tournament of the season.
In the first round of French Open Istomin outplayed world number 93, Ukrainian Sergei Stakhovsky in four sets – 6/3, 6/4, 2/6 and 6/3.
The match lasted two hours and 19 minutes. Denis Istomin recorded nine aces and two double faults. Ukrainian player committed six double faults.
In the second round, Denis Istomin will play against Philipp Kohlschreiber of Germany.
