Denis Istomin advances to ATP Memphis semifinals

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan number one Denis Istomin reached to semifinals of АТР U.S. National Indoor Tennis Championships with the prize fund of US$1.2 million in Memphis (US).

In quarterfinals, Denis Istomin, currently holding 63rd place in ranking, defeated Michael Russell from the United States in straight sets 6:4 and 7:6(5).

The match lasted an hour and 37 minutes. Denis Istomon clinched five of nine break-points, while Russell won four of five break-points. Istomin served eight aces and made two double faults.

In the semifinal match, Denis Istomin will play against Feliciano López of Spain.
