DELMOR to create an agro-industrial cluster of meat and dairy direction

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Chinese company DELMOR will create an agro-industrial cluster of meat and dairy products in Jizzakh region of Uzbekistan.

The project cost is US$100 million. The Chinese investor will allocate 25% of these funds to the project. Jizzax organic will invest 5% of the funds. The initiators of the projects are planning to attract the remaining 70% of funds through loans from international financial institutions.

The cluster capacity will be 10,000 heads of cattle. The cluster will produce 2,500 tonnes of meat per year.

About 10,775 ha of land (8,964 ha of which are irrigated) in Zaamin and Zarbdar districts of Jizzakh region are allocated for the cluster.

The project will build a modern cattle-breeding complex with its own feed production center, a slaughterhouse and biogas plants.
