Delegations from China and Japan explore opportunities in Uzbekistan’s pharmaceutical market
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Agency for the Development of the Pharmaceutical Industry hosted a meeting with delegations representing China’s Golden Concord Holdings and Ningbo Green-Health Pharmaceutical, as well as Japan’s Phytopharma.
Abdulla Azizov, Director of the Agency, provided participants with a detailed overview of the reforms underway in Uzbekistan’s pharmaceutical sector, current trends, and existing infrastructure.
Foreign investors were briefed on the favorable conditions being created for doing business in the country, including simplified procedures, tax and customs incentives, and legal guarantees for investment.
The delegation expressed particular interest in the production of medical products based on medicinal plants, taking into account Uzbekistan’s rich natural resources and the strong potential of local raw materials.
During the meeting, the parties discussed prospects for cooperation and agreed to continue their dialogue on joint projects in the pharmaceutical sector.
