The delegation of the US-based University arrived in Uzbekistan to discuss with the Uzbek party technical, legal and financial issues related to the opening of a branch of Webster University in Tashkent. It is expected that the new university will start functioning from September 2018.

Representatives of the university will hold a number of meetings in the ministries of Uzbekistan and will visit a number of local and foreign universities.

According to the plans, the Webster University branch will offer educational programs in such areas as "information technologies", "information security", "media development", "business", "natural sciences" and "pedagogy".

The training will be conducted in English with the involvement of professors from the American university and local teachers.
