Delegation of Uzbekistan Railways Concludes Visit to China to Study Digital Railway Technologies

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — From 31 January to 6 February 2026, a delegation of Uzbekistan Railways JSC paid a working visit to the People’s Republic of China.

During the visit, company representatives held a series of meetings with Huawei’s management, as well as with leading research and development centers in the cities of Chengdu, Shenzhen, and Dongguan, aimed at exchanging experience and studying advanced technologies in the railway sector.

As part of the program, the delegation visited the Transport Management System (TMS) laboratory, reviewed China’s railway operating practices, and discussed requirements for implementing a TMS tailored to the needs of Uzbekistan’s railways.

Meetings were also held with universities and research institutions to explore opportunities for developing joint educational and research projects.

Special attention was given to Huawei’s innovative solutions. Representatives of Uzbekistan Railways visited the von Neumann Exhibition Hall and the Huawei Cloud Planck demonstration complex, and familiarized themselves with the Huawei Smart Factory and Smart Campus laboratories.

The delegation also toured the Songshanhu research center and the Sanyapo training center, where discussions focused on prospects for joint development of training systems and advanced professional development programs.

As a result of the visit, agreements were reached to expand cooperation with Huawei in the digitalization of railway transport, the introduction of intelligent management systems, and the training of highly qualified specialists.
