On 21 June, the Congress of Atameken was held in Astana. The Uzbek delegation attended the event, the press service of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan said.

Within the framework of the Congress, a meeting was held between the Deputy Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan Utkir Butaev and the Chairman of the Board of the Atameken Ablaiom Myrzakhmetov.

Also, a meeting was held between the Chairman of the Board of the Foreign Trade Chamber of Kazakhstan Ayian Erenov and Deputy Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan Utkir Butaev.

The parties discussed the development of relations, the current problems of entrepreneurs and business communities of both countries, as well as the second meeting of the Business Council "Uzbekistan-Kazakhstan" in the second half of 2018.

The sides noted the positive results of the Kazakh-Uzbek business forum, which was held in Shymkent on 22 May. This event contributed to the intensification of relations among business representatives of both countries, the intensification of trade and economic ties and the increase in cross-border trade between Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan.

On 22 June, the Uzbek delegation took part in a briefing at the Embassy of the Republic of Uzbekistan in Kazakhstan on the theme: "Protection of the rights of entrepreneurs in Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan, prospects for development of cooperation between entrepreneurs of the two countries" within the visit of the Commissioner for the Protection of the Rights and Interests of Entrepreneurs under President of Uzbekistan Dilmurod Kasimov to Kazakhstan.

Also on this day, the Uzbek delegation headed by the Deputy Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan visited the central office of the Atameken Scientific and Production Enterprise to familiarize with the structure and organizational activities.
