The meetings took place on the eve of the state visit of the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirizyoyev to the Republic of Korea, scheduled for 22-25 November.

In order to establish fruitful cooperation with South Korean universities, the delegation of Uzbekistan met with the leadership of the Seoul National University, Korea University and Yonsei University. A meeting is also planned at Hanyang University.

During the talks, the sides discussed issues of establishing cooperation between higher educational institutions of Uzbekistan and South Korea. The Uzbek side invited these universities to consider the possibility of opening branches in Uzbekistan, particularly in the areas of architecture, urban planning and civil engineering.

Representatives of universities noted the need for careful study of this issue, including by visiting the Republic of Uzbekistan and analyzing the market. In this connection, Korean universities will create working groups to study this issue.
