Delegation of Uzbekistan holds talks in Spain

The delegation met with the leadership of the champers of the Cortes Generales – chairman of Senate Pio Garcia Escudero and President of Congress of Deputies Jesús Posada Moreno, as well as Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation Jose Manuel Garcia-Margallo, Minister of Industry, Energy and Tourism José Manuel Soria López and Spanish Secretary of State for Trade Jaime García-Legaz.

The sides considered current state and perspectives of the Uzbek-Spanish cooperation in politics, trade-economic, investment and other spheres, representing mutual interest.

Within the visit, Uzbekistan and Spain signed an agreement of cooperation on fighting crime, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan said.

During the meeting with the President of Spanish Confederation of Entrepreneurial Organizations Jesús Banegas, the presentation of economic and investment potential of Uzbekistan was presented to the Spanish businesses. The cooperation exchange between the business entities of two states was also held.

The Uzbek delegation visited National Association of Industrial Equipment Producers, where the practical aspects of bilateral relations and initiative of the sides on saturation cooperation with new projects in various areas.
