Delegation of Uzbekistan holds negotiations in France

According to Embassy of France in Tashkent, the Uzbek delegation included Deputy Minister of agriculture and water management of Uzbekistan Yashin Hidirov and heads of large Uzbek companies.

On 12 March, the delegation participated in the business forum, which was held at the office of MEDEF International. It was attended by representatives of over 40 French companies. Minister Elyor Ganiev held negotiations with representatives of 14 companies.

Afterwards, the delegation paid a visit to the French Development Agency (AFD). The AFD and Uzbekistan signed an agreement on implementation of the first AFD project in Uzbekistan on management of solid waste in Samarkand city.

On 13 March, the session of intergovernmental commission on trade-economic cooperation was held under the co-chairmanship of Minister of External Trade of France Nicole Bricq and Minister Elyor Ganiev.

After the session of the commission, a dinner dedicated to agriculture complex and issues on management of water resources on behalf of Nicole Bricq was held. It was attended by 15 French enterprises.

The sides reached agreement on holding the session of the intergovernmental commission on trade-economic cooperation between Uzbekistan and France on annual base.

The French side announced supported candidacy of Samarkand city to host 99th session of Executive Council of the World Tourism Organization in October 2014.
