The meetings were held on the eve of the state visit of the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to South Korea, scheduled for 22-25 November.

During the meeting with the Vice-Mayor of Seoul Chang-b’a Kim, an agreement was reached on cooperation between the Tashkent khokimiyat with the Tourism and Sports Development Bureau and the Global Partnership Office of Seoul City Hall.

Within the framework of the signed agreement on global partnership between cities, 10 city service specialists of State Unitary Enterprise SUVSOZ will be sent to Seoul in 2018 to exchange experience and improve their skills.

Representatives of the Tashkent administration also visited the Korea District Heating Corp., a thermal power plant in Seoul, to study the experience of generation and supply of heat.

The parties reached an agreement on cooperation and studying the experience of introducing heat and electricity cogeneration systems, heating and cooling systems and automatic control. The sides also agreed to organize a training of five specialists of the city heat supply service in Tashkent by the end of the year.

At meetings with the heads of the Chung-gu and Sodemun districts of Seoul, prospects of cooperation between the districts of the two capitals, in particular, between the Chilonzar region and Sodemun district, were discussed.
