During the talks, the sides discussed perspectives of further expansion of bilateral relations in trade-economic, investment and humanitarian spheres. The sides also considered implementation of joint projects in healthcare sector, including organization of production of modern medical equipment and pharmaceutical products, training healthcare specialists at medical establishments and centers of Japan.

The delegation of Japan is visiting Uzbekistan in line with the agreement, reached at the Uzbek-Japanese Cooperation Forum, which was organized at the assistance of Matsumoto Foundation on 3 March 2014 in Tokyo.
The delegation includes representatives of leading Japanese producers of medical equipment and medicaments, chemical companies, ICT firms, companies working in transport, logistic, tourism, insurance sectors, etc.
Within the visit, it is planned that the delegation will hold meetings at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Economy, Ministry of Healthcare, Ministry of Labour and Social Welfare and other state bodies of Uzbekistan.
On 18 July, the delegation will attend a roundtable on perspective directions of cooperation between Uzbekistan and Japan. The delegation will also visit Samarkand and Shakhrisabz.
