Delegation of Amnesty International arrives in Uzbekistan
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) --
A delegation of the international non-governmental organization Amnesty International headed by Regional Director for Eastern Europe and Central Asia Marie Struthers visits Uzbekistan.
According to the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan, the delegation of Amnesty International arrived in Uzbekistan on 21 May 2018.
The delegation will hold meetings in the General Prosecutor’s Office, the Supreme Court, the Ministries of Foreign Affairs, Internal Affairs, Justice, Higher and Secondary Special Education, and the National Center for Human Rights of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
The meetings will also take place at the Independent Institute for Monitoring the Formation of Civil Society, with the Commissioner for Human Rights of the Oliy Majlis. The delegation will also visit the Tashkent State Institute of Law.
