Deals for 8.68 trln. soums signed at industrial fair

The Eighth International Industrial Fair and Cooperation Exchange completed its work in Tashkent as deals for production of goods for about 8.68 trillion soums and export contracts for US$7.4 billion were signed within the event.
The Eighth International Industrial Fair and Cooperation Exchange was held in Tashkent from 28 October to 4 November 2014.
The forum was attended by 1,700 industrial enterprises, working in various sectors of economy of Uzbekistan, and over 1,200 foreign firms and companies, interested in trade and investment cooperation with the Uzbek partners.
Last year, the agreements on purchase of goods within industrial cooperation worth 6.2 trillion soums were signed. AT the same time, the volume of export contracts made up US$6.3 billion.
This year, the volume of agreements on purchase of goods rose by 1.4 times, while the sum of exports contracts increased by 1.1 times.
