Deals for 11 trln. soums signed at industrial fair

The Ninth International Industrial Fair and Cooperation Exchange completed its work in Tashkent as deals for production of goods for about 11 trillion soums and export contracts for US$8 billion were signed within the event.
The Ninth International Industrial Fair and Cooperation Exchange was held in Tashkent from 26 October to 5 November 2015.
The forum was attended by 2,000 industrial enterprises, working in various sectors of economy of Uzbekistan, and over 1,300 foreign firms and companies, interested in trade and investment cooperation with the Uzbek partners.
Last year, the agreements on purchase of goods within industrial cooperation worth 8.68 trillion soums were signed. At the same time, the volume of export contracts made up US$7.4 billion.
The main goal of the fair is to improve competitiveness, quality and volume of produced local goods, deepen localization, launch production of new goods, etc.
