Davis Cup: Uzbekistan loses to Australia in pairs’ match

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan national tennis team suffered a loss at the hand of Australia in pairs’ match within the second round of Davis Cup in the Group I of Asia/Oceania zone ended in Namangan.

Farrukh Dustov and Istomin played against Australia’s Lleyton Hewitt and Matthew Ebden and lost the match in five sets - 5:7, 7:6(4), 4:6, 6:3, 3:6.

After the victory, Australia took a 2-1 lead in the tie and need one more win to advance to World Group play-offs.

On Sunday, Denis Istomin will play against Bernard Tomic and Farrukh Dustov will face Marinko Matosevic.
