Dangerous quarantine object identified in a large batch of apricots from Uzbekistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Inspectors of the Russian Agriculture Supervision’s office in Novosibirsk region during quarantine phytosanitary control at one of Novosibirsk temporary storage warehouses revealed a quarantine object, an eastern fruit-bark, in fresh Uzbek apricots.

About 39.4 tonnes of apricots followed by road from the territory of the Republic of Uzbekistan to the Altai organization. The presence of a quarantine object is confirmed by laboratory tests at the Novosibirsk Municipal Medical Agency.

Infected under quarantine products of high pest risk is prohibited for use on the territory of the Russian Federation, and by decision of the cargo owner, two batches of apricots were subjected to the customs procedure for re-export to the place of origin - the Republic of Uzbekistan.
