Daily Ittihad on the most important events in the life of Uzbekistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A special issue of the Daily Ittihad newspaper has been published in Pakistan on the recent parliamentary elections in Uzbekistan, Dunyo news agency reported.

The initiator and author of the issue was the editor-in-chief of the newspaper, Tahir Faruk, who visited Uzbekistan in December last year to cover the elections, as well as a number of Pakistani experts who participated in the elections as an international observer.

Pakistani experts praised the ongoing democratic processes in Uzbekistan, as well as the outcome of the parliamentary elections.

It was noted that over the years of independence, the Uzbek people have achieved tremendous success in all spheres of life. “It was gratifying to see that the Republic of Uzbekistan, under the leadership of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, has achieved new high achievements and has become a long-term and reliable partner for foreign investors,” the publication notes.

According to the authors of the newspaper, a favorable business environment is the result of efforts, innovative initiatives and large-scale reforms of the leadership of Uzbekistan. The investment climate and institutional forms of investor protection in the country are actively attracting businessmen from China, Germany, Russia, Turkey, South Korea and other countries.

“Since the election of Shavkat Mirziyoyev as head of state, Uzbekistan is rapidly transforming into a tourist center of the world,” the article emphasized.

The leadership of Uzbekistan pays serious attention to the comprehensive improvement of the business environment. The country has carried out reforms to diversify and liberalize the economy, and the development of the agro-industrial complex is at a high level. Mutually beneficial cooperation with foreign partners in this direction is expanding.

Foreign investors are particularly interested in the new free economic and small industrial zones created in large industrial cities of Uzbekistan, offering various packages to stimulate the development of small and private entrepreneurship.

The authors of the special issue article note that the innovative reforms of the President of Uzbekistan in the field of tourism are one of the major areas that contribute to the development of the national economy in order to attract more foreign tourists in 2020. “The country has created favorable conditions for tourists from all over the world. Many foreigners prefer to visit this republic without any hesitation and with great enthusiasm,” it added.

According to Pakistani experts, the elections in Uzbekistan were held in accordance with democratic principles, openly, transparently and fairly.
