Criminal Hiding in Poland Extradited to Uzbekistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — As a result of joint efforts by the National Central Bureau of Interpol in Uzbekistan and the Uzbek Embassy in Poland, a citizen who committed a serious crime has been apprehended and returned to his home country.

Uzbekistan’s Interpol bureau, together with the embassy staff in Poland, carried out a series of operational measures that led to the identification and capture of the fugitive who had been hiding abroad after committing a serious offense.

The deportation was conducted in strict accordance with international agreements. Such actions by law enforcement reflect the positive outcomes of ongoing reforms in the country and active international cooperation.

The criminal will now face legal punishment for the committed offense on Uzbek territory.
