Court Confirms Permanent Residence of Citizen M.B. in Uzbekistan
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A court has officially confirmed that citizen M.B. has been residing permanently in Uzbekistan.
According to the Justice Department of Yangier city, M.B. requested assistance in establishing proof of long-term residence in the country.
The investigation revealed that M.B. was born in the Republic of Tajikistan, is of Uzbek ethnicity, and has been living continuously in Yangier since 1997.
Under current legislation, an individual seeking Uzbek citizenship is recognized as a citizen if, at the time of application, they have resided in the country for at least fifteen years and do not hold citizenship of another state.
To formally verify his residence, the Justice Department filed a petition with the Interdistrict Court of Gulistan city.
After a thorough review of the submitted documents, the court confirmed M.B.’s permanent residence in Uzbekistan, marking an important step toward resolving citizenship-related matters.
