Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- In accordance with the resolution "On measures to organize the activities of cooperatives in the cultivation and processing of raw cotton", the following order of organization and functioning of cooperatives is introduced:

The Ministry of Agriculture, together with the State Assets Management Agency, ensures the transfer of vacant land not used in the production activities of ginning enterprises to the reserve of local government bodies;

The Council of Ministers of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, khokims of regions and districts are taking measures to provide cooperatives and cotton-growing farms with seeds, mineral fertilizers, fuels and lubricants and other material and technical resources;

Cooperatives introduce effective production for the reception, selection, storage, processing of cotton and export of finished products.

The privileges established by relevant decisions of the Government in relation to cotton-textile industries and clusters also extend to cooperation.

Cotton ginning enterprises of regions where cotton-textile productions and clusters have not been established cooperate on a voluntary basis.

Services for the reception, storage and processing of cotton (by grinding) grown by cooperative members are provided by ginning enterprises.

The resolution also approved the Regulation on the organization of cooperative activities on the cultivation and processing of cotton based on voluntary association of farms.
