Cooperation Expands Between Ferghana Region and Kashgar

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Hokim of Ferghana Region Khayrullo Bozorov received a delegation from the city of Kashgar in China’s Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region, led by Mayor Veli Asim, which included officials and business representatives.

During the meeting, prospects for expanding interregional cooperation in trade and economic relations, investment, industry, tourism, and other areas were discussed.

It was noted that regular contacts and the political will of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev of Uzbekistan and President Xi Jinping of China have elevated bilateral relations to the level of a comprehensive strategic partnership, and ties between the two countries are consistently strengthening across all sectors.

The meeting was highlighted as a result of favorable conditions and opportunities being created, with cooperation between Ferghana Region and the city of Kashgar steadily expanding in recent years.

Mayor Veli Asim emphasized the investment appeal of Ferghana Region, noting that the atmosphere of trust and friendly relations provides a solid foundation for Chinese investor activity. He expressed satisfaction with the establishment of partnerships across several sectors and confirmed readiness to support Ferghana entrepreneurs in setting up businesses in Kashgar.

During the constructive dialogue, both sides agreed to intensify large-scale cooperation between Ferghana Region and Kashgar.

Deputy hokim of Ferghana Region Nuriddin Mamadzhonov also participated in the meeting.
