“In accordance with the Regulation on the procedure for the retail sale of medicines and medical devices approved by the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated April 6, 2017 No. 185, medicines, sold without a doctor’s prescription and medical products with strict condition is allowed to sell online in strict compliance with the requirements and procedures for ensuring their safety during storage and transportation, as well as for documented and electronic design, taking into account the requirements for the legislation".
Information about medicines and a pharmacy must be accurate and accessible. Pharmacies, when selling medicines and medical devices through electronic commerce, must post the following information on the relevant websites and / or mobile applications: full name of the legal entity with indication of its legal form, information on state registration, identification number of a business entity STI, location, e-mail address, contact phone number, information on the availability of a license (license number, validity period, name of the authorized body that issued the license).
It is also necessary to indicate information about the sold medicines and medical devices, and their analogues, trade name, release form, dosage, series, expiration date, country of manufacture (supplier), retail sale price, size of the trade allowance, form of payment, delivery order and price, enclose instructions for use, certificate of conformity.
The vehicle used for delivery must be kept in good condition and clean. During transportation, the necessary temperature conditions, humidity and air circulation must be maintained in the vehicle’s chamber, intended for the storage of medicines and medical devices. In this case, the delivery of medicines and medical devices should be accompanied by a pharmacy worker - a specialist with a pharmaceutical education.
Transportation of medicines requiring special temperature storage conditions should be carried out only by special transport equipped with refrigeration units or thermal containers, equipped with climate control devices for constant temperature monitoring.
It is also strictly forbidden to transport medicines and medical devices with other types of cargo in order to prevent side effects.
In turn, it is necessary to comply with the requirements of the laws of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On Advertising” and “On the Protection of Consumer Rights” when promoting services for the supply of medicines and medical devices through electronic commerce. In particular, information to the consumer should be provided in an accessible form, reliable and accurate, and it should also contain all data about the product and the service for its delivery (name of the goods and services, description, price, special conditions).
In connection with this agency, a letter was sent to all enterprises, the media and telegram channels about the need for strict compliance with the requirements of the above legislation when providing services for the sale (delivery) of drugs and medical devices through electronic commerce.
