Construction of overpass subway on Sergeli branch continues

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Pursuant to the resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. PP-2664 of 29.11.2016 “On measures to implement the project “Construction of the Sergeli line of the Tashkent Metro ”, work continues on implementation of this project. It was reported by the press service of JSC "Uzbekistan Railways".

Total length of this line of the Tashkent metro is 7.1 kilometers. The main project was developed by JSC “Boshtransloyya”, according to which 6 stations will be built on the line. To create facilities for passengers, special elevators and escalators will be installed.

The uniqueness of the Sergeli metro line is that it will be above ground. The elevated view of the metro is an innovation not only for our country, but also for the Central Asian region as a whole.

From the beginning of construction, experienced specialists have been carrying out intensive work, according to the schedule, as well as in accordance with building codes and technical requirements. Equipping the material and technical base with modern equipment helps to carry out the whole range of construction and installation works on time.

Commissioning of the new line of the Tashkent metro is planned for 2020.
