Construction of New Complex on the Site of Chorsu Hotel to Begin in Tashkent by End of 2025

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The construction of a new multifunctional complex on the site of the former Chorsu Hotel in Tashkent is planned to begin by the end of 2025, the construction company Manar Development announced at a press conference on 23 September.

According to the presented project, Chorsu by Manar/Yangi Chorsu (final name yet to be confirmed), the total area of the complex will exceed 100,000 square meters.

The majority of the space—38,300 square meters—will be allocated for residential units. Commercial zones and hotel facilities will each occupy 20,000 square meters, while 14,000 square meters are designated for office spaces.

The developer emphasized that the project envisions a harmonious combination of residential areas, an international-standard hotel, a modern business cluster, and public spaces featuring pedestrian streets, green areas, and recreational zones.

The architectural concept was developed by Sergey Choban, a Russian and German architect, member of the Association of German Architects (BDA), and founder of Thoban Voss bureau.

Manar Development CEO Davron Fayzimatov stated that over 100 million USD will be invested in the project. He noted that financing will come entirely from the company’s own funds, without bank loans.

Executive Director Rustam Turaev clarified that construction is expected to begin in the coming months, approximately in December 2025. He projected that the project’s implementation will take around 3.5 years: the first facilities are expected to be commissioned in 2028, with the full complex completed by the end of 2029.
